In Cooperation with the WDR broadcasting station Cologne the premiere will take place on February 24 at 6 p.m. at the Kleine Sendesaal/Funkhaus, followed by the CD-production. |

2010 Alan Weinberg, composer of the formidable Salsa Suite wrote a new work for Baroque and Blue titled Americana: "... the main idea is that it reflects an essentially American melting pot of styles – anything from salsa to Appalachian folk music, or bolero to bluegrass to popular music. I think that’s what I would be aiming for in my new piece(s). And I think that coming to Germany would help carry on the important work of promoting international understanding and peace." 2009 New projects with harp: Together with her longstanding musical partner Gorjan
Kosuta (violin/viola) and harpist Jane Berthe Christiane Meininger has started up new concert programs for flute and harp as well as the Trio Impressions (with viola) to present selected music literature for this strikingly beautiful instrumentation.

New in 2010 Project La Luna - Songs of the Night
Together with Jörg Waschinski's extraordinary voice and charisma the Meininger-Trio presents Songs of the Night taken from their newest cd release Rendezvous with songs by Amy Beach, as well as Clara Schumann and Lili Boulanger.
Highlight: Hilary Tann, one of the most prolific composers of the US, will write a new work for Christiane Meininger, inspired by the kinetic reliefs La Luna by sculptor Karl Günter Wolf. A presentation of this composition is planned for the near future. We will inform you ahead of time.
