Alan Weinberg (*1952)
is a pianist and Professor of Music at the Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina. Apart from his solo concerts at the Carnegie Recital Hall et al., he gave guest performances with many orchestras of the United States. A Fullbright Scholarship allowed him staying in India. Alan Weinberg is member of the judging panel and head of several competitions and master classes. As a composer, he became known with his „Celebration Fanfare” for brass ensemble and works for dancing. His “Salsa Suite“ caused a furore on international festivals in Peru and New Zealand and, newly, in Germany too. “Baroque and Blue“ presents the work as a world premiere on the new CD „Silver Poetry” (PROFIL Edition).
