Gunter Emmerlich, speaker

Born in Eisenberg/Thuringia, he at first had studied at the Ingenierschule für Bauwesen in Erfurt and graduated after 5 years of studying at the Hochschule für Musik „Franz Liszt“ in Weimar in 1972 with a major in classical singing (opera). During the next 20 years, the artist has been a full member of the Semperoper in Dresden, celebrating great achievements as a basso Osmin, Sarastro, Alfonso, Bartolo, Basilio,…). At present, he is celebrated for his Sir John Falstaff in „Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor“, as dairy man „Tevje“ in the musical „Anatevka“ and as „Doolittle“ in „My fair lady“.

Together with his pianist Klaus Bender (from the Semperoper in Dresden) or with the SEMPER HOUSE BAND (soloists of the Staatskapelle Dresden - to be heard here with Swing and Dixieland) or with his duet-partner Deborah Sasson or as a guest soloist in choir- or orchestra concerts he has guest performances in nearly all European countries, in Asia, North and South America. As an entertainer in several television and broadcasting shows, he builds bridges between good light music and serious music. He is honoured with the „Bambi“ and the „Bundesverdienstkreuz“. Since 1995 he monthly presents his successful TV series „Zauberhafte Heimat“ in the ARD . He is at home in every genre - opera, musical, recitals, jazz, drama ...
